Visits, Wedding and Conferences

  Ezekiel is from Liberia and is one of our many Branch members living in Ayia Napa, about 30 minutes away, working seasonally and has difficulty getting to Larnaca to participate in church.   A very intelligent man living in difficult circumstances to provide for himself.   Oh that there were more Medich in the world.  Such a fine young man with a heart of gold.  He, too, works long hard hours and days, living in Ayia Napa as well.  We brought him into Larnaca because he wanted to send money to family and offer his tithes.  His home is the Congo and he's been here about three years. Just one in a string of several days in these temperatures. Heat and humidity, painful combination.  But we have taken advantage of the beautiful Mediterranean Sea a few times and the pool in back of our building which doesn't involve any travel and is more easily accessible.  Dipping in the Sea is about 15 minutes away.  These trees are everywhere right now and we can't get enough of them. Youth Camp, P-Day and Visits

Another majestic flowering tree that we are seeing regularly as we're out and about.  Absolutely gorgeous.  We will surely miss the varied botanical species of plants and trees here. We had the marvelous opportunity of planning and executing an island wide youth activity.  Though somewhat overwhelming to organize such an activity in an area we don't know and with youth we don't know, it exceeded our expectations.  There were seven girls and two boys, ages 12-16.  Many of them did not know each other as well.  Perhaps that was an underlying bonus, because they connected beautifully.  I've participated in a number of girls camps over the years and it's sometimes a challenge to make sure everyone feels included.  Not a problem in this instance.  I was so impressed.   Our theme was "I Am a Disciple of Jesus Christ", and we employed the assistance of two of our Elders Huhtala and Lauener from Limassol Branch to introduce our theme.  They did a marvelous job, en
